    2. Exact quote ("where it begins.... where it ends") - provide enough of the quote so that you can easily find it again !
    3. Brief explanation/ notes about HOW the quote exemplifies (relates to) or contrasts (differs from) Romanticism OR Transcendentalism. If the quote does NOT relate to those philosophies, you can make a note/ explanation about how the quote reveals something about a person or a relationship between people.
    Creating the quote journal entries on white lined paper is completely fine, but here is a template if you'd prefer to use it --> {Quote Journal Entries.pdf}
    The better your notes, the easier the final assignment for this book will be!!! Happy reading :)

    Hello wonderful people--
    While I'm so sad to leave you, I hope you all realize what an amazing opportunity you've been given to have Ms. Tool as your teacher for the second half of the school year. Please continue to work hard and make yourselves (and me!) proud. Your assignment over the winter break should be an enjoyable one, as Into the Wild is a fantastic book! Don't forget to bring home your notes on Romanticism and Transcendentalism to complete the quote journals. Just in case you did forget those notes, the link to the notes Prezi is below from the Thanksgiving break. Have a wonderfully restful yet productive winter break and best wishes for a happy new year!
